200 metres from our guesthouse, open-cast mines dating from 1870. The splitters' hut marks the start of the walk: don't hesitate to lose yourself among the thickets.
As you explore, you'll discover numerous shafts. We love walking here to enjoy the calm, the beauty and the scents that surround us.
A few improvements have been made so you can enjoy this magical place: benches are available. Between the excavations, the undergrowth — especially in autumn — reveals a wide palette of colours.
If you wind your way through the quarries, you'll discover a lovely sunken lane that will lead you back to your starting point.
